Overview: The Ford Field and River Club is a private Pete Dye course in Richmond Hill, Georgia, set across 250 acres of Lowcountry terrain. The front nine has a parkland character, while the back nine uses links-style space, freshwater lakes, meadows and the nearby coastal landscape.
History: Dye's original course opened in 1987 on land once associated with Henry Ford and earlier rice production. Dye returned with Tim Liddy for a major renovation that reopened in 2014 and rebuilt the course around stronger drainage, playability and its original Lowcountry setting.
Did You Know? The course's current identity combines two contrasting nines: wooded and parkland in front, more open and links-like around the water and meadows on the back.
