Overview: Floridian is a private Palm City course set beside the St. Lucie River, with a parkland landscape of water, native vegetation, palms and mature trees. The club’s current directory card lists 7,101 yards at par 72. Its character comes from the way the golf course sits within a broader estate that also includes a marina, cottages, learning facilities and a spa. Tom Fazio’s reconstruction uses that varied Florida setting to create a composed course where water and vegetation frame the strategic lines without overwhelming them.
History: Jim Crane purchased Floridian in 2010, and renovations began in spring 2011. The club says it reopened seven months later with a completely reconstructed golf course designed by Tom Fazio, alongside a renovated clubhouse and new practice and waterfront facilities. The 2011 date is therefore used for the present routing, rather than leaving the exact course without an architect or opening milestone.
Did You Know? The Floridian project was rebuilt as part of a much broader seven-month transformation. The same reopening introduced the reconstructed Fazio course, a new learning centre, a 68-slip marina and renewed clubhouse facilities, making the course part of a complete estate reset rather than a standalone renovation.
