Flommens Golfklubb

Overview: Situated on the Falsterbo Peninsula in southwestern Sweden, Flommens Golfklubb is a classic 18-hole coastal links course. The layout is routed over a flat, sandy coastal spit, featuring narrow fairways framed by native wetland grasses, deep sod-walled bunkers, and firm, fast putting surfaces. The course is highly exposed to constant winds from the Baltic Sea, requiring players to execute low, piercing trajectories and creative bump-and-run approach shots.

History: Founded in 1935, Flommens is a historic pioneer in Swedish seaside golf, located immediately adjacent to the famous Falsterbo Golfklubb. The course was originally laid out by Stig Kristersson and Stig Bergendorff, who utilized the natural coastal wetlands to create a highly strategic links test. The club has proudly maintained its rugged, natural aesthetic and traditional links playing style for nearly a century.

Did You Know? The course is famous for its unique water hazards called "flommar" (shallow coastal lagoons). These natural tidal wetlands fill with sea water during high tide and serve as formidable, ever-changing hazards on nearly every hole, depending on the current sea level.
