Overview: Flint Hills National Golf Club is set on a former estate in Andover, Kansas, where Tom Fazio used lakes, woodlands and rolling prairie to make the course feel secluded. The parkland routing moves through varied landforms, with broad strategic lines and changing green approaches.
History: The 640-acre property was once the home of Wichita businessman William L. Graham. After Graham's death, Tom Devlin acquired the land and developed Flint Hills National as a private golf sanctuary, with the course opening in 2000.
Did You Know? Graham's Dymaxion House, built partly from aluminum and aircraft parts, stood on the property before the golf club was created. That unusual piece of local history is part of the land story behind Flint Hills National.
