Overview: The Ocean Course at FLC Quy Nhon Golf Links is a Nicklaus Design routing along the coastal dunes of Nhon Ly in Vietnam’s Binh Dinh province. The 18-hole course is par 72 and plays about 7,200 yards from the longest listed tees. Its opening nine moves through elevated pine and scrub, while the back nine descends closer to the beach and the sea. Tight corridors, changing wind and a mixture of dunes, pines and shoreline views give the course a more varied character than the Ocean name alone suggests.
History: The Ocean Course was the first of FLC Quy Nhon’s two 18-hole layouts and opened in 2016. Nicklaus Design is credited with the routing, while the later Mountain Course was developed as the companion design above the resort. Together they form a 36-hole complex, but the two courses are deliberately different: Ocean works from pine-covered and beach-adjacent ground, whereas Mountain remains higher in the dunes with broad views across the coast.
Did You Know? The Ocean Course changes character at the turn. The front nine uses elevated pine and scrub, with narrower corridors and more enclosed views, while the back nine reaches toward the beach and opens the outlook to the sea. That two-part structure explains why the course can feel like a woodland-dune course on the outward half and a coastal links course on the way home.
