Overview: First Warsaw Golf & Country Club occupies a natural setting in the Vistula river valley near Rajszew, about 25 kilometres from central Warsaw. The 18-hole course combines open parkland, mature trees, lakes and ponds, with the first part of the round more expansive and the closing holes moving through narrower woodland corridors. That shift gives the layout a clear strategic rhythm: early holes invite lines across broader ground, while the finish places greater emphasis on positioning and accuracy.
History: First Warsaw emerged during the revival of Polish golf after the end of the communist period and is generally dated to 1992. The course was designed by Swedish architect Jan Sederholm and became the first major postwar golf venue in Poland. Its location beside the Vistula landscape and its early tournament programme helped establish Rajszew as an important centre for the country's new golfing era.
Did You Know? First Warsaw hosted the European Challenge Tour three times, in 1996, 1998 and 1999. Those events brought a professional tournament stage to the country's first postwar course and connected its parkland routing with an international field during a formative period for Polish golf.
