Overview: Firestone Country Club’s former West Course, now presented as the Fazio Course, is a private 18-hole layout in Akron, Ohio. The course moves through rolling Firestone terrain and offers a different style of test from the club’s famous tournament course.
History: The West Course dates from 1989 after work associated with Geoffrey Cornish and Brian Silva. Tom Fazio’s firm later reshaped the layout, and Firestone now presents it as the Fazio Course following major work carried out in 2021.
Did You Know? Firestone’s golf history reaches back to the first tournament hosted there in 1954. The club’s three-course identity grew from that long relationship with championship and professional golf.
