Desert Willow Golf Resort (Firecliff)

Overview: Firecliff at Desert Willow Golf Resort is a public desert course in Palm Desert, with generous scale, mountain views and shaped fairway corridors. Michael Hurdzan, Dana Fry, John Cook and Eric Johnson use native margins, water and contoured greens to create varied carry and approach decisions.

History: Desert Willow was developed by the City of Palm Desert in the 1990s. Firecliff opened in 1997, followed by Mountain View in 1998. The resort history credits the design team and describes the two courses as a public golf destination developed within the desert setting.

Did You Know? Firecliff and Mountain View are separate routings at the same resort. Firecliff is at 38995 Desert Willow Drive, where native desert surrounds are an active part of the strategy.
