Overview: The Arnold Palmer Course at Fazenda Boa Vista is an 18-hole parkland layout in Porto Feliz, São Paulo state, built across gently rolling ground alongside the Rio Sorocaba. Its broad fairways, restrained bunker scheme, bold greens and strategic slopes give players more than one route through a hole, but the wide corridors do not remove the need to choose a side and plan the next shot. Native vegetation, lakes and open countryside help the course sit naturally within the larger Fazenda Boa Vista landscape.
History: Fazenda Boa Vista contains two separate 18-hole courses. The first was designed by Randall Thompson, while the second course is the Arnold Palmer design identified in this directory as the Palmer course. Course records place the Palmer routing in 2015, and Arnold Palmer Design later describes a 2018 renovation intended to restore the original width and strategic character. The distinction between the two courses matters because they sit within the same development but have different architects and playing histories.
Did You Know? Arnold Palmer Design describes the course’s original brief in three words: strategy, sustainability and fun. That idea is visible in the combination of native planting, subtle contouring and greens that invite different approaches. The Palmer course is therefore less about forced spectacle than about giving each player meaningful choices across the same broad landscape.
