Overview: Fargo Country Club's Regulation course is a private parkland layout along the Red River in Fargo, North Dakota. The river, elevated greens, undulating ground, and mature trees give the course a distinctive Plains setting.
History: The club began in 1898 and established North Dakota's first 18-hole golf facility in 1923. A new nine was built south of the Red River in 1961 and opened in 1963; that nine was designed by Robert Bruce Harris and later work involved Dick Nugent and Joel Goldstrand.
Did You Know? Fargo Country Club hosted the 1995 U.S. Junior Amateur, the first national USGA championship held at a North Dakota club. It also hosted the Women's Trans National Amateur Championship in 2001.
