Overview: Falcon Ridge Golf Club is the 18-hole component of a 27-hole semi-private facility on Ottawa’s south-eastern edge. The official scorecard lists the Falcon Ridge course at par 72 and 6,945 yards from the yellow tees, with several shorter options. Its character is practical and public-facing: a full round, a separate nine-hole option, practice facilities, a clubhouse and an on-site restaurant make it useful for both local play and golf groups. The course sits at 4740 High Road, across from the Hard Rock Casino, placing it within an easily recognised Ottawa leisure corridor.
History: Falcon Ridge was built in phases. The first phase opened in June 1998 with the Raceview nine and the range facility. After the initial phase, ten holes were ready in 2001, and the remaining holes completed the 18-hole Falcon Ridge routing in 2002. The original operation worked from a small trailer that served as clubhouse, shop, kitchen and restaurant; in 2009 that was replaced by a 7,000-square-foot clubhouse with a pro shop, restaurant and banquet rooms. The club’s official history still describes the combined property as a 27-hole semi-private facility serving members and the public.
Did You Know? The name “Falcon Ridge” should not be read as a claim that the property has only 18 holes. The current official description separates the completed Falcon Ridge 18 from Raceview 9. That distinction matters for this directory profile: the enriched record represents the 18-hole routing, while the broader facility offers an additional nine-hole round and practice-oriented option.
