Overview: Erin Hills is a walking-only links-style course located in the Kettle Moraine region of Wisconsin. The layout features wide fairways, rugged bunkers, and fescue areas that play across naturally rolling glacial topography.
History: Designed by Michael Hurdzan, Dana Fry, and Ron Whitten, the course opened in 2006. It was built to showcase the natural contours of the glacial drift and hosted the U.S. Open in 2017.
Did You Know? The designers avoided moving significant soil, opting instead to route the holes along the natural ridges and valleys left by ancient glaciers.
