Overview: En-Joie Golf Club is a public, tour-tested 18-hole course in Endicott along the Susquehanna River. The traditional parkland layout uses narrow tree-lined fairways, large receptive greens, sand bunkers and water hazards to create a demanding but playable par-72 round. From the back tees it reaches about 7,030 yards, with shorter sets beginning near 5,150. The course’s central New York location, close to Binghamton, combines a practical public round with a level of tournament pedigree unusual for a local facility.
History: En-Joie was founded in 1927, originally designed by Ernie Smith and later redesigned by Michael Hurdzan. Its professional history began with the PGA Tour’s BC Open, held here from 1972 through 2005. Since 2007 the course has hosted the Dick’s Sporting Goods Open on the PGA Tour Champions, bringing a continuing professional spotlight to the Susquehanna River valley. The combination of long service and major-event preparation has shaped the course’s modern identity.
Did You Know? En-Joie’s tournament list includes Tom Kite, John Daly, Brad Faxon and Craig Stadler among the BC Open champions. The course still presents four tee sets, so the same championship property can be played at very different lengths.
