Overview: As the first Spanish project by the legendary American architect Robert von Hagge, the Dunes Course at Empordà Golf is a pioneering "inland links" layout that redefined coastal golf in the Costa Brava. Set within the open, treeless landscape of Gualta, the course is a masterclass in strategic earthmoving, where von Hagge sculpted a rhythmic series of dunes and wide, inviting fairways.
History: Opened in 1990 alongside the Forest Course, it was designed to integrate sophisticated water hazards and numerous lakes that demand thoughtful club selection.
Did You Know? The design was inspired by classic Scottish links, but with the addition of large water hazards that require strategic positioning.
