Overview: Elyria Country Club's private course in Ohio has 18 holes shaped by William S. Flynn. The layout uses the Black River landform, mature trees and rolling parkland to frame the strategic green contours associated with Flynn.
History: The earlier course was nine holes until land purchases allowed Flynn to design 18 new holes on 161 acres. The new course opened on July 4, 1926.
Did You Know? The first foursome on the new 18-hole course used gold-plated golf balls supplied by the Worthington Ball Company of Elyria.
