Overview: Elkridge Club in Baltimore, Maryland, is a parkland course designed by Seth Raynor. Winding through rolling hills and mature hardwoods, the layout features Raynor's signature template holes, small green complexes, and strategic bunkering. The walk-friendly design emphasizes precise iron play and course management, punishing off-target shots and rewarding smart positioning on every hole to ensure a successful and highly rewarding round of golf.
History: Founded in 1878 as a sporting club, the club moved to its current Charles Street location in 1925, where Seth Raynor designed the 18-hole course. Architect Brian Silva led a restoration project between 2003 and 2008 to restore Raynor's original green shapes, bunker styles, and classic templates.
Did You Know? The course features several template holes inspired by classic British holes, including a Redan-style par-three and a Biarritz hole with a deep swale in the green. These holes provide golfers with a historic playing experience that connects the course to the origins of golf design.
