Overview: Elements Private Golf Reserve is an 18-hole private course in Bela-Bela, set in the Limpopo bushveld. Peter Matkovich’s design combines tree-lined corridors, open parkland and gently undulating ground, with the course integrated into the surrounding African bushland. The gold tees measure 6,927 metres, approximately 7,575 yards, at par 72.
History: The course was designed in 2005 as part of the Elements private reserve, where golf, accommodation and wildlife habitat share a bushveld setting. Matkovich’s stated approach was environmentally conscious, using the natural landscape as the framework rather than flattening it into a conventional estate course.
Did You Know? The par-3 11th is one of the reserve’s standout holes because it looks down the valley across much of the course and the surrounding bushveld.
