Overview: Elanora Country Club is a private parkland course located on the Northern Beaches of Sydney. Designed by Dan Soutar and opened in 1929, the layout is set on a high ridge overlooking Narrabeen Lagoon and the Pacific Ocean. The course features significant elevation changes, narrow tree-lined fairways, and challenging green complexes.
History: Established in 1929, the club commissioned Dan Soutar and James Herd Scott to design the course on rugged sandstone terrain. A major renovation led by James Wilcher was completed in the early 2000s, modernizing the greens and bunkers while preserving the historic routing's dramatic topography and native eucalyptus setting.
Did You Know? "Elanora" is an Aboriginal word meaning "home by the water," which reflects the club's vantage point offering ocean and lagoon views.
