Overview: The Falcon Course was the former second 18-hole route at Eglin Golf Course in Niceville. Historical listings describe a par-72 layout of about 6,869 yards, but the route is no longer a normal playable course.
History: The Air Force permanently closed the nine-hole Falcon Course on January 13, 2025, after reviewing operating viability, maintenance cost, economics, and declining use. The directory record is retained as a historical identity, not as a current tee-time recommendation.
Did You Know? The Falcon closure left the complex with a changed golf footprint, while holes 1 and 18 were retained for short-game practice. That makes the surviving fragments part of the route’s current story.
