Eglin AFB Golf Course (Eagle)

Overview: The Eagle Course at Eglin AFB Golf Course is an 18-hole military golf layout in Niceville. Available course records list par 72 and up to 6,869 yards, while the historic setting is notable for Panhandle terrain that is more rolling than Florida’s usual flat profile.

History: The course is commonly dated to 1923 and grew from the military golf complex at Eglin. In January 2025, the Air Force confirmed that Eagle would remain open when the nine-hole Falcon Course closed, but later operational announcements make current access worth checking.

Did You Know? The Eagle and Falcon names belong to a two-course Eglin golf history, and the complex is known for elevation changes that can surprise golfers expecting uniformly flat Florida ground.
