Overview: At the upper Rahway River in Westfield, Echo Lake Country Club presents a private Donald Ross layout through wooded, rolling ground. Its par-71 routing combines classic green contours with later strategic work, keeping approach placement central to the round.
History: The club began as Cranford Golf Club in 1899. After moving to the Harper Farm, it commissioned Donald Ross for the current 18-hole course, completed in 1913; a 1921 merger with Westfield Golf Club led to the Echo Lake name.
Did You Know? The club’s earliest Cranford site predates the later Westfield layout, which remains the course associated with Echo Lake.
