Overview: Niah Course at Eastwood Valley Golf & Country Club is the 18-hole routing made from the Miri and City nines. Eastwood's current course page lists 6,630 metres, approximately 7,254 yards, and par 72, with Seashore Paspalum fairways and TifTuf Bermuda greens. The operator describes Miri as the quieter, more natural nine and City as the more dynamic side with views toward the surrounding urban landscape. That change of atmosphere is the main character of this course within Eastwood's 36-hole resort.
History: Eastwood Valley's current golf information dates the opening of the facility to 2005 and names Niah and Mulu as its two distinctive 18-hole courses. The Niah label therefore refers to a combined pair of nines, rather than the name of a separate historical club. A current architect and a more precise opening date for the Miri and City routing were not verified, so those fields remain blank. The operator currently describes the resort as open, with accommodation and golf services continuing on site.
Did You Know? Niah's identity is built on a change of setting halfway through the round. The Miri nine is presented as tranquil and natural, while the City nine is intended to feel more energetic and connected to the surrounding cityscape. Eastwood uses that contrast to distinguish Niah from Mulu, whose Adong and Liku nines are characterized by undulating hazards on one side and wider, water-lined fairways on the other.
