Overview: The North Course is the 18-hole directory routing built from Eastern Golf Club’s North nine, holes 10–18, and its South nine, holes 1–9. At Yering, the property uses the foothills and open country of the Yarra Valley to create a championship round with wooded edges, shaped fairways and changing elevation. The North/South combination is a full par-72 experience, but the character comes from the way two different nines meet rather than from a single named 18-hole loop.
History: Eastern Golf Club’s Yering property is a 27-hole championship layout at Yering, designed by Greg Norman Golf Course Design. The current guide identifies South as holes 1–18 and North as holes 10–27, with East sharing the later numbering. That overlapping structure is why the directory’s North Course should be read as the North/South combination, not as an independent course separate from the club’s current 27-hole facility.
Did You Know? The North nine starts at hole 10 and ends at hole 18, so a golfer playing North/South experiences holes 10–18 first and then returns to holes 1–9. This numbering is a small but useful clue when matching the directory record to the club’s official guide.
