Overview: East Clare Golf Club is a scenic and inviting parkland course situated in the rolling hills of Bodyke. Designed by the local architect Arthur Spring and opened in 1997, the layout is celebrated for its peaceful setting and its high-specification USGA-standard greens. The course is characterized by its wide fairways and its use of the natural slopes of the Clare countryside to create a variety of technical challenges that are accessible to all skill levels but demanding for the expert player.
Did You Know? The course was a major project for the local community in the 1990s and has since become one of the premier tournament venues in the region. Its design prizes the natural "gorse and green" aesthetic of the West of Ireland, providing a secluded atmosphere where the only sounds are the mountain breezes and the local wildlife that thrives in the surrounding mature woodland.
