Overview: Eagle Ridge is an 18-hole championship course on Victoria’s Mornington Peninsula. The layout moves through coastal bushland and rolling ground, with broad views and a mixture of open driving holes and tighter corridors. It is designed to be a complete visitor experience: the fairways ask for sensible positioning, the greens reward a good approach and the surrounding Peninsula landscape gives the round a clear sense of place. Golfers can treat Eagle Ridge as a day trip from Melbourne or as part of a longer Mornington Peninsula stay.
History: The property began as Carlogie before the land was expanded and reshaped for a new championship course. Kevin Hartley was responsible for the new design, which opened in December 1989. The course’s history is therefore connected to both the earlier rural property and the later conversion into a golf destination. That evolution also explains why the course feels more like a planned championship layout than a traditional club that simply grew hole by hole.
Did You Know? The Eagle Ridge name refers to more than a logo: the course is built on a property where changes in elevation create elevated views over the Peninsula. The official description specifically presents it as an 18-hole championship course, while the club’s history records the December 1989 opening of the modern layout.
