Overview: Eagle Ridge Golf and Country Club’s Nick Faldo Course presents 18 holes at par 72 at Eagle Ridge Golf and Country Club in General Trias, Cavite. Nick Faldo Design lists the course at 7,343 yards, while Eagle Ridge’s own description emphasises its up-and-down character, wide and tight driving holes, strategically placed bunkers and sharply sloping greens. It is a course that asks players to think through each shot. Position off the tee matters, but approach shape, landing depth and the ability to putt across changing slopes are equally important.
History: The Faldo course opened in 1997 as one of the original signature layouts in the Eagle Ridge development. The wider facility grew into four separate 18-hole courses designed by Isao Aoki, Andy Dye, Nick Faldo and Greg Norman. Faldo Design’s account describes the course as a natural, undulating test intended to reward thoughtful play, while Top 100 Golf Courses records its close connection to the Metro Manila golf market and its place within Eagle Ridge’s 72-hole complex.
Did You Know? The fourth hole is the signature strategic challenge most often singled out in published descriptions. It is a long par 5 with an S-shaped fairway that narrows towards the green, forcing a decision between a bold shortcut over a ravine and a more conventional route. The uphill 18th then finishes across another ravine, giving the round a dramatic closing question.
