Overview: Eagle Point is a public course in southern Oregon, set near the Rogue Valley in Eagle Point. Robert Trent Jones Jr. designed the course to move through open and wooded ground, creating a strategic public layout with a natural Oregon setting rather than a resort-only presentation.
History: The course opened in 1996 after local developers Gregg Adams and Dan Bunn brought Jones into the project. It quickly attracted attention as a new public course and has since hosted events including the Oregon Amateur Championship and Oregon Golf Association Stroke Play.
Did You Know? Eagle Point has been used as a practice course by Crater Lake and Eagle Point High Schools and Southern Oregon Community College. That combination of championship hosting and community use is a distinctive part of the course’s local role.
