Overview: Eagle Eye is a public course near Bath, Michigan, designed by Chris Lutzke in collaboration with Pete Dye. The rolling links-style routing uses large landforms, shaped bunkers and creative approach angles, giving the course a strong strategic identity despite its inland setting. The 7,312-yard par-72 layout is built for shot values rather than a simple march between parallel fairways.
History: Eagle Eye opened in 2003 as one of Lutzke's major Michigan designs. Dye reviewed the routing and influenced several details, including the lengthening of the 13th and the island-green character of the 17th, while Lutzke remained the course's primary designer.
Did You Know? The 17th hole intentionally echoes the island-green idea associated with TPC Sawgrass. The reference is architectural rather than a claim that the hole is an exact copy, and it gives the closing stretch a recognizable Dye connection.
