Duran Golf Club

Overview: In Viera, Duran Golf Club provides an 18-hole public routing designed by Chip Powell, listed at par 72 and 7,151 yards. The layout uses the former ranch and sod-farm property, with lakes, mounds, native vegetation, and a relatively restrained bunker style shaping the course.

History: Duran opened in the summer of 2005 after the former agricultural property was converted to a golf facility. The course is currently undergoing an 18-hole renovation that began May 31, 2026, with the clubhouse and full course closed while limited practice facilities remain available.

Did You Know? The course has 15 ponds and lakes, but the design does not depend on dense bunker fields. That combination gives Duran a different hazard balance from many Florida resort courses, with water and contour doing more of the visual work.
