Overview: Drumoig Golf Course is a spectacular 18-hole championship layout situated on 250 acres of rolling Fife countryside, just nine miles from the historic home of golf, St Andrews. Designed by Dave Thomas and opened in 1996, the course is a unique blend of parkland and moorland styles, making clever use of the natural landscape, including old whinstone quarries and newly created lochs. With its championship yardage of over 6,800 yards and wide, sweeping fairways, Drumoig offers a big, bold test of golf that encourages aggressive play while rewarding a strategic approach to its large, multi-tiered greens.
Did You Know? The course features a dramatic finishing stretch where water hazards dictate the strategy on the 9th, 10th, and 18th holes. Despite its modern origins, Drumoig has quickly become a respected tournament venue, formerly serving as the base for the Scottish National Golf Centre, and it remains a popular destination for those seeking a modern, expansive alternative to the traditional links of neighboring St Andrews.
