Overview: Dragon Hills Golf And Country Club occupies a broad natural setting in Pak Tho, Ratchaburi, where valleys, hills and wooded ground give the course its name and character. The current course record identifies an 18-hole, par-72 layout designed by Jim Engh and opened in 1994. The official site describes a large property of green land, flowers, trees and mountain air, while its hole guide shows the playing details are more deliberate than the relaxed scenery suggests. Fairway bunkers, mounds, hollows, water and two-tier greens repeatedly ask the golfer to choose a side of the hole before committing.
History: Dragon Hills was developed as part of a wider golf-and-country project in the mid-1990s, with the course record assigning the design to Jim Engh. The present official site continues to present the same 18-hole course and clubhouse within the surrounding landscape. Its location, roughly a drive from Bangkok and close to the western Thailand golf corridor, has allowed the course to remain a destination round without being absorbed into the busier Bangkok or Pattaya clusters.
Did You Know? The finishing 18th is designed as a small strategic essay. Water guards the front and left of the tee, long bunkers run down the right, and the green is wrapped by a bunker, hollow and steep mounds. The official hole guide even notes timber-log steps in one deep hazard, an unusual piece of construction detail for a finishing hole.
