Overview: In San Pasqual Valley, Dos Osos offers an eighteen-hole public round in Escondido’s San Pasqual Valley. Current course information describes a par-72 routing with 6,537 yards from the blue tees, bent-grass greens and a landscape that includes wildflowers, waterfalls and lakes. The course’s valley setting gives it a more natural, secluded feel than its proximity to the San Diego area might suggest.
History: The property was formerly known as Eagle Crest Golf Club. JC Golf and the current ownership team reopened Dos Osos in May 2025 after a year-long revitalization that refreshed the course and its surrounding facilities. Because the sources describe the earlier Eagle Crest course and the newer Dos Osos reopening differently, no original architect or opening year is entered here.
Did You Know? The name Dos Osos means two bears, and the course’s natural setting makes the wildlife-preserve connection more than a marketing label. Water, wildflowers and the San Pasqual Valley terrain all appear as recurring parts of the playing landscape.
