Overview: Dormie Club in West End, North Carolina, is a secluded and rustic masterpiece designed by the legendary team of Bill Coore and Ben Crenshaw. Situated in the heart of the Sandhills, the course features significant elevation changes, naturally sandy waste areas, and firm, fast playing conditions. It is a "pure" golf experience that emphasizes minimalist design and strategic depth, often drawing comparisons to the great links of the Scottish Highlands.
History: Opened in 2010 during a pivotal moment for golf development, Dormie Club was built on a spectacular site that required minimal land movement. The designers utilized the natural contours of the rolling pine forest to create a layout that feels eternal. In 2017, the club became the flagship property of the Dormie Network, transitioning to a private destination club and undergoing a series of refinements to enhance the member experience.
Did You Know? The course features no paved internal pathways and is designed to be experienced primarily on foot, heightening the sense of connection to the rugged Sandhills landscape.
