Overview: The Rose-Poulter Course is a 6,918-yard, par-72 routing in a valley of mature trees and jungle vegetation. Its design is deliberately more natural in feel than a heavily formalized resort course, with bunker complexes blending into native growth and mountains rising beyond the playing corridors. Mission Hills describes the layout as a risk-and-reward course, so the appeal comes from choosing when to attack rather than trying to overpower every hole.
History: The course is the fifth layout at the Dongguan clubhouse and carries the design names of Justin Rose and Ian Poulter, who worked together as Ryder Cup teammates. It is a newer addition to the Mission Hills collection than the original World Cup course, but it is fully integrated into the club's current programme. The 2026 calendar lists Rose-Poulter for member and tournament events.
Did You Know? Rose-Poulter was shaped with match play in mind. The official description highlights chances that reward an aggressive decision and shorter par fours that create more birdie opportunities. A player who attacks every tempting line may give away the very advantage the layout offers.
