Overview: The Annka Course is the most botanical-feeling of the five Dongguan layouts at Mission Hills. Annika Sorenstam's design uses dramatic elevation changes, broad fairways cut through valleys and tee shots that open onto surrounding hills. The official card lists 6,703 yards and par 72. Dense vegetation frames the holes, while shaped fairways, pronounced bunkering and relatively small greens make placement more important than simply finding the longest line.
History: Annka is part of the Dongguan clubhouse complex, which Mission Hills identifies as a five-course group alongside the Norman, Olazabal, Rose-Poulter and Leadbetter courses. It is also Sorenstam's first course-design credit. The resort continues to list Annka in its current event calendar, so the routing remains an active part of the wider Mission Hills destination.
Did You Know? The course climbs and falls around natural terrain, with the official description noting mountain views and elevations of more than 300 metres above the golf course. The tee shots from higher ground are memorable, but the real test arrives when the ball reaches the smaller, more demanding putting surfaces.
