Overview: Diners CUBO Golf Course Ljubljana is an 18-hole, par-72 course in Smlednik, roughly 15 minutes from the Slovenian capital. Peter Škofič designed the layout across open, gently undulating ground, and current course information lists 5,872 metres, approximately 6,421 yards. The broad playing corridors and limited tree cover allow the wind and the natural slope of the site to influence club selection, while the greens and fairway contours provide the strategic detail. The result is a modern course that combines a relaxed visual setting with enough variety for championship play.
History: The course entered the Slovenian golf scene in the late 2000s, with the directory recording 2008 for the complete 18-hole facility. Its location near Ljubljana made it an important urban-region course from the beginning, linking an accessible setting with a full championship-length layout. The venue quickly attracted high-level amateur competition: the European Ladies' Amateur Team Championship was played at Diners G&CC Ljubljana in 2012, and the European Golf Association has continued to list CUBO Golf as a championship venue. The modern club now combines golf with the CUBO hospitality operation beside the course.
Did You Know? The course has a rare 6-6-6 balance: six par-3s, six par-4s and six par-5s make up its par-72 card. That structure keeps the round moving through three equal groups of hole types instead of relying on the more usual mix of four par-3s and four par-5s. It also gives the scorecard a distinctive identity, with a long hole and a short hole appearing regularly through the routing.
