Overview: Perched high in the Blue Ridge Mountains near Banner Elk, Diamond Creek Golf Club is a private mountain course designed by Tom Fazio. The routing takes advantage of an elevation of over three thousand feet, playing through hardwood forests and mountain valleys. The layout features meticulously manicured bentgrass fairways, strategic rock outcroppings, and views of the surrounding peaks.
History: Opened in 2003, the course was designed by Tom Fazio to establish an exclusive mountain retreat in western North Carolina. Fazio carefully routed the fairways to follow the natural contour of the mountainside while minimizing steep climbs. The club has since maintained its status as one of the country's most private and meticulously preserved mountain golf facilities.
Did You Know? The course is located in a high-altitude microclimate, which allows the club to maintain firm, fast bentgrass playing conditions throughout the warm summer months when lower-elevation courses struggle.
