Overview: As Europe’s first and only true desert-style golf course, the Indiana at Desert Springs is a visually stunning creation by Walker Cup legend Peter McEvoy. Located in the sun-drenched region of Almería, the course is modeled after the iconic desert layouts of Arizona and California, offering a sharp contrast between emerald-green fairways and a rugged landscape of rocky outcrops and dry arroyos.
History: The course opened in 2001, built to full USGA specifications. It features a rugged landscape of rocky outcrops and dry arroyos, integrated with over 600,000 cacti and native desert plants.
Did You Know? Because of its arid microclimate, the resort has served as a winter training base for several national golf federations and professional squads.
