Overview: The Lodhi Course at Delhi Golf Club is an 18-hole parkland layout in central New Delhi, where narrow, tree-lined fairways run among historic tombs and dense scrub. The current professional tournament setup measured 6,912 yards at par 72 for the 2025 DP World India Championship. The course rewards accuracy and positioning, and its compact city setting gives the round a very different rhythm from a wide-open resort layout.
History: Delhi Golf Club began as a municipal course in the early 1930s and became a corporate entity in 1950. Peter Thomson redesigned the Lodhi Course in 1976, while Gary Player Design led a major revamp in 2019 that included green complexes, bunkers and contouring. The course has hosted many Indian Opens and the inaugural DP World India Championship in 2025.
Did You Know? The course is interwoven with Delhi's archaeological landscape: the club's official history describes tombs and ruins around the holes, and the course guide calls attention to the 498-yard ninth, a long par four that can be reached by the biggest hitters in two. The grounds also support a large range of birdlife.
