Del Paso Country Club

Overview: Sacramento's Del Paso Country Club uses mature trees, Chicken Ranch Slough and spacious fairway corridors to create a parkland course where water and approach angles govern strategy.

History: Del Paso's early course history is associated with Sam Whiting, while the modern layout benefited from a Kyle Phillips renovation that closed the course for about 18 months. The club later hosted the 2015 U.S. Senior Open, a major event that brought the restored course to a national audience. The club is located at 3333 Marconi Avenue.

Did You Know? Chicken Ranch Slough is not just a nearby geographic label: it is part of the course's playing landscape and helps define the parkland routing. The club's hole descriptions repeatedly show how water and the slough influence strategy across the round.
