Overview: Nestled within the hauntingly beautiful De Peel nature reserve in Limburg, De Peelse Golf is a championship parkland course that celebrates the wild, peat-bog heritage of the southern Netherlands. Designed by Alan Rijks, the course winds through ancient marshlands and lush woodlands, featuring gently sloping terrain and water hazards that reflect the region's historical peat-extraction canals. The layout is a peaceful and strategic journey through a Certified Audubon Sanctuary, offering a high-caliber competitive test that prizes environmental stewardship as much as championship-level shot-making.
Did You Know? The course was one of the first in the Netherlands to receive the prestigious "A-status" from the Dutch Golf Federation, a testament to its exceptional design and maintenance standards. Because it is situated in a high-quality nature preserve, the roughs are intentionally kept as diverse peat-meadows, which are protected by national environmental laws and provide a home for several endangered species of butterflies.
