David L. Baker Memorial Golf

Overview: David L. Baker Memorial Golf Course is an 18-hole executive course in Mile Square Park in Fountain Valley. County material describes the facility as part of the park's golf and recreation acreage, while the current course information identifies a par-62 layout and practice center. Its park setting and executive scale make it a different proposition from the full-length championship courses elsewhere in Orange County.

History: The strongest retained evidence is operational rather than architectural: Orange County identifies David L. Baker Memorial Golf Course as an executive 18-hole facility on a 62-acre golf property. A current rate sheet also records the par-62 format. No dependable architect or opening year was found for this exact course, so neither is inferred.

Did You Know? The course is part of Mile Square Park, a large public recreation setting rather than an isolated private club property. That context explains why David L. Baker functions as both a golf course and a practice destination within the county park system.
