Overview: The Azaleas Course at Dancing Rabbit Golf Club is a resort layout in Philadelphia, Mississippi, designed by Tom Fazio and Jerry Pate. The course uses woodland, wetlands, and gently changing ground to create a sequence that feels rooted in the landscape of the Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians.
History: The course opened in July 1997 and was developed for the Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians. A 2016 renovation updated the turf and playing surfaces while retaining the original architectural identity.
Did You Know? The Azaleas course takes its name from a nearby creek where a treaty returned land to the Choctaw nation. That local history gives the course name a direct connection to the people and landscape around it.
