Overview: The Mountain Course at Dali Stone Mountain Golf Club is routed along steep ground above Dali, with Cangshan Mountain rising behind and Erhai Lake visible across the valley. Nick Faldo is credited with the design, and course references list an 18-hole, par-72 layout at 7,651 yards from the back tees. Elevation changes, doglegs and sloping fairways make the Mountain routing a shot-making course where the correct line can matter as much as the club selected.
History: The Dali Stone Mountain facility opened in 2005 and grew into a 36-hole destination. The Mountain and Lake labels identify separate 18-hole loops, although historical course sources sometimes publish different yardages for the companion routing. The profile records the common, well-supported par and design facts and avoids presenting an uncertain secondary yardage as a precise correction.
Did You Know? The Mountain course's challenge is largely angular. A ball can finish at the correct distance and still leave a difficult next shot if it is on the wrong side of a slope or dogleg. The surrounding lake and mountain views are spectacular, but they also emphasize the scale of the elevation changes.
