Overview: Maya is the longer and more expansive of the two 18-hole routings at Daikobe Golf Club in Kobe's Nishi Ward. It is listed at par 72 and 6,615 yards, with broad fairways and a hillside setting overlooking the Seto Inland Sea. The official course guide describes Maya as a course for attacking golf: the corridors allow a strong tee shot, but the scale of the holes means that poor positioning can leave a demanding second or third shot. The route has a clear difference in character from the shorter Suma Course.
History: The current facility is a 36-hole club made up of Maya and Suma. The consulted operator and tourism pages establish the two routings and their current playing facts, but do not publish a dependable architect or opening chronology for the individual courses. Those fields are therefore left unset rather than assigned from a nearby Kobe course. The important identity point is that Maya is its own 18-hole route, not a generic name for Daikobe.
Did You Know? The official hole guide shows a 630-yard par five on the Maya outward nine and a 615-yard par five on the inward nine from the back tees. Those numbers explain the course's reputation for length, but the guide's practical distinction is just as useful: the wide fairways invite a committed line, while the long approach shots make accuracy more valuable as the round progresses.
