Cypresswood Golf & Country Club

Overview: In Winter Haven, Cypresswood Golf & Country Club offers a public 18-hole Ron Garl design. The par-72 layout reaches about 6,912 yards and uses a mature inland Florida landscape rather than a coastal resort setting.

History: The course dates to 1974 and has continued as a public golf facility in the Winter Haven area. Its established Garl design and long-running community role are the most reliable parts of the available historical record.

Did You Know? Cypresswood’s name fits the course’s setting: cypress and other mature vegetation are part of the visual character described by course listings. The layout’s age also gives it a distinctly established feel compared with newer community courses.
