Overview: The Crown is Crownwood Club’s 18-hole course near Ängelholm, set in coastal pine woodland on sandy ground. Its broad fairways, shaped sandscapes and undulating greens give the layout a modern championship character, while the surrounding trees and open pockets keep the visual rhythm changing from hole to hole. The course is designed to reward committed lines and thoughtful positioning. A strong drive can open a green, but the large surfaces and surrounding contours still demand control on the approach. The result is a long, strategic test with a distinctly Scandinavian sense of place.
History: Crownwood Club grew from a shared project led by Henrik Stenson, entrepreneur Arild Karlsen and architect Christian Lundin. Construction and shaping progressed through 2023 and 2024, with the 18-hole course opening in summer 2025. The club’s stated ambition was to create a private golf setting that combined championship standards with a close relationship to the coastal landscape around Ängelholm.
Did You Know? The Crown is accompanied by Henrik’s Playground, an 11-hole short layout created as part of the same golf development. That combination gives the club a second, more flexible way to experience the design language of the main course.
