Overview: Cowboys Golf Club is a public resort-style course in Grapevine, between Dallas and Fort Worth and close to the DFW airport. It is an 18-hole, par-72 layout measuring 7,017 yards from the back tees, with rolling North Texas ground, water, broad fairway corridors and a heavily branded clubhouse experience. The golf is designed to work for visiting groups as well as serious rounds: the landing areas are visible, but the approach angles and green-side hazards still ask for a plan. Its all-inclusive hospitality model and Dallas Cowboys identity make it one of the region’s most recognisable golf stops, while the course itself is a conventional full-length daily-fee test.
History: The course was built in 2001 and is credited to architect Jeffrey Brauer. Cowboys Golf Club has always been positioned as a public destination rather than a member-only country club, combining golf, dining, events and Cowboys-themed presentation in one property. The current operator says all 18 greens were recently renovated by Beau Welling Design, so the course’s present condition reflects a substantial modernisation rather than an unchanged original layout. That renovation should be understood as an update to the existing routing, not a new course identity.
Did You Know? Arcis describes Cowboys Golf Club as the first and only NFL-themed golf club in the world. The theme is visible throughout the property, but the course remains a full-length golf test beneath the branding. The back tee card reaches 7,017 yards, while shorter tees preserve the same routing and let the player choose how much of the rolling terrain and water to bring into play.
