Overview: Country Club of Naples is a private 18-hole course with roots in the early Naples golf community. William “Bill” Diddel created the original layout, and the club’s current identity combines that history with a modernized parkland presentation.
History: The original course dates to 1963, while the club itself has been private since 1966. A 2009 master plan and a 2023 renovation by Drew Rogers and JDR Golf Design updated the course without erasing its Diddel lineage.
Did You Know? The recent work was led by a design team with a restoration-minded brief. That makes the course a useful example of a Florida club balancing an older architectural foundation with contemporary playing demands.
