Overview: Country Club of Florida is a private 18-hole parkland course in the Village of Golf. The current layout is par 72 and about 7,002 yards, with broad fairways, mature vegetation, and the quiet scale of a long-established South Florida club. Its architecture has been shaped by several renovations rather than a single frozen design moment.
History: The course opened on December 1, 1956, after the original work of Robert Bruce Harris. Arthur Hills remodeled it in 1987, and Lester George carried out a later renovation in 2006. Those interventions form the course's current architectural lineage.
Did You Know? The property was originally part of Hunt Dairy Farm. Club history also records that the Duke of Windsor landed his plane on the first fairway, an unusual event in the early story of a South Florida golf course.
